ISLAMABAD: The government has announced new prices for petroleum products. According to details, the Finance Ministry has announced the new prices after consulting the Prime Minister on the summary sent by OGRA regarding the increase in prices of petroleum products. The government has decided not to increase the prices of all petroleum products except high speed diesel from December 1.
The government has decided to maintain the prices of petrol, kerosene and light speed diesel. The price of high speed diesel has been increased by Rs.4 per liter. Petrol price has been fixed at Rs.100.69 per liter, light diesel at Rs.62.86 per liter, kerosene at Rs.65.29 per liter, while the new price of high speed diesel has been fixed at Rs.105.43 per liter.
The new prices will apply from 12 noon tonight. Two days ago, OGRA had prepared a summary of increase in prices of petroleum products. In the prepared summary, it was recommended to increase the price of petrol by Rs2.50 per liter and diesel by Rs3.3. OGRA had sent a summary to the Finance Ministry recommending an increase in prices for 15 days. Earlier, the government had announced a reduction in the prices of petroleum products on November 15.
Petrol price was reduced by Rs.71 per liter. After which the new price of petrol became Rs.100 69 paisa. The price of high speed diesel was reduced by Rs.79 paisa after which the new price of high speed diesel was fixed at Rs.101.43 paisa per liter. The price of light diesel was maintained at Rs.62.86 per liter while the price of kerosene was maintained at Rs.65.29 per liter.
